Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what you may and may not do when using the ZeroSMS messaging platform (the “Service”). It forms part of our Terms of Service. We may update it at any time, and we may suspend or terminate accounts and block traffic that breaches it.
1. Consent is required
You may only message recipients who have given you clear, verifiable consent to receive messages from you for the purpose you are sending. You must maintain records of consent and honour it. Purchased, scraped or rented lists are not permitted.
2. Honour opt-outs
You must provide a clear way to opt out (for example, replying STOP) and stop messaging any recipient who opts out, promptly and permanently. Do not attempt to circumvent opt-outs by using different sender IDs or accounts.
3. Prohibited content and use
You must not use the Service to send or facilitate:
- Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or messages to recipients without valid consent.
- Fraud, scams, phishing, smishing, deceptive, or misleading content, including fake sender identities (spoofing).
- Unlawful content, or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Malware, harmful links, or attempts to compromise devices or networks.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that exploits or endangers minors.
- Content prohibited in the destination country, or regulated categories (e.g. gambling, adult, financial, pharmaceutical) where you are not authorised to send it.
- Impersonation of any person, brand, government body or ZeroSMS itself.
4. Technical and network abuse
You must not attempt to overload, probe or disrupt the Service, exceed applicable throughput limits, share or resell access without authorisation, or evade pricing, filtering or routing controls.
5. Sender IDs and country rules
You are responsible for using sender IDs you are entitled to use and for meeting each destination’s registration and formatting requirements. Traffic that violates operator or country rules may be filtered or blocked.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, and at our discretion filter or block messages, suspend sending, or terminate accounts. Serious or repeated violations may be reported to operators or authorities. Charges for messages already accepted are not refundable where a violation is involved.
7. Reporting abuse
